The Skidegate Early Childhood Education Centre is seeking a full-time Infant/Toddler Educator to provide quality, inclusive childcare services in a group setting, under the direction of the Early Childhood Education Supervisor. The position will be 5 days per week, 7 hours per day.
Qualifications/Requirements:
. ECE Infant/Toddler License to Practice
. Criminal Record Check, valid Child Safe First Aid
. Medical clearance/immunization status
. Valid driver's license
Responsibilities:
. Works closely with the ECE Supervisor to ensure programs are delivered in a professional, ethical, and efficient manner, maintaining the highest standards possible
. Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of developmentally and culturally appropriate activities and experiences for the children in the HeadStart program and Infant/Toddler Centre
. Lead children in a variety of activities that are both age and developmentally appropriate
. Provide relevant information to parents in a timely manner as directed by ECE Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
. Extensive experience working with children 0-5 years and their families
. Familiar with basic approaches of conflict resolution and problem solving
. Able to work in a team environment while providing care for children

The Islands Women Society is seeking applicants to fill the position of Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) Coordinator. The successful applicant will manage and maintain the overall operations of the CCRR program, which provides support, resources and assistance to families, child care providers and the community. The coordinator recruits child care providers, helps with the licensing process, offers training and workshops to caregivers and liaises with the regional coordinator and the provincial ministry.
Position is based in Queen Charlotte City but regular visits to all island communities are required.
Qualifications: degree or certificate in Early Childhood education or minimum 2 years work experience in child care or a related field.
Requirements: A thorough knowledge of the child care system. Professionalism, commitment to confidentiality, and an ability to work both autonomously & collaboratively as part of a team. Own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
